17 hornet Brass Horndy Cases – 50ct Box
Hornady’s brass production process reflects their commitment to precision and quality, mirroring the standards that have established them as a leading bullet manufacturer. They meticulously measure their brass for uniform wall concentricity, conduct pressure calibration tests to ensure consistent case expansion, and personally inspect each piece by hand. This dedication guarantees the proper seating of the bullet in both the case and the chamber, as well as consistent charges and pressures, resulting in optimal velocity and consistent accuracy from the cartridges. It’s important to note that their unprimed brass is not loaded ammunition.
When it comes to brass preparation, some imperfections, such as minor dents or discoloration may be observed due to the manufacturing process. These imperfections are typically addressed upon the first firing and do not significantly impact the performance or lifespan of the brass. Additionally, it’s recommended to straighten the case and case mouth, as well as chamfer and debur the case mouth inside and out, when working with new rifle brass to ensure optimal performance. Proper lubrication of the case neck inside the case mouth is also advised to prevent stretching.
